Dark circles can appear for various reasons, but one thing is certain: they are unsightly and make you look tired even when you are not. Here’s how you can get rid of them in no time with ingredients from your pantry.
Raw, cold potatoes
There are two options:
You can grate a potato and prepare a paste which you have to keep it in the refrigerator overnight. Apply the paste, in the morning, under your eyes and let it act for 5 minutes. Voila, dark circles will fade away. Remove the paste with cold water, gently.
Or, peel off a potato, wash it well and cut two slim slices. Place the slices in a bowl with water and keep overnight in the refrigerator. The next morning apply the slices on your closed eyes for 5 minutes.
A frozen spoon
Place a spoon in the freezer for 15 minutes then apply it over the dark circles, but be careful not to cover your whole eye with it. Keep it there until the spoon gets warm. Repeat the same procedure with the other eye, or apply this trick for both eyes at the same time.
Moisten two tea bags, preferably green or black tea, and keep it in the fridge overnight. In the morning apply them on the dark circles area for 5-10 minutes. This remedy is great to get rid of dark circles and puffy eyes. Lay down in the bed or on the couch while you apply the tea bags on your eyes, because the head has to be higher than the rest of your body.
